281. Promoted Hydrotalcite Based Cobalt Catalyst for Fischer Tropsch Synthesis Application

The effects of using different promoters on hydrotalcite based cobalt (HT-Co) catalyst for FischerTropsch Synthesis was studied in this paper. The HT-Co catalysts were synthesized by using hydrothermal method whereas zinc and zirconium were added separately as promoters, by wetness impregnation method. The main aim of the study is to see the difference in properties of both zinc and zirconium promoted catalysts. The catalysts were characterized by using several characterization techniques like scanning electron microscope, Xray diffraction, thermal gravimetric analysis, BrunauerEmmett-Teller analysis and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy.
